At OX & WOLF, we are honored to co-sponsor “The Documentary – Tribute to Margareth Abraham”, presented by Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP) with support from CAH and DC-ANSP. This moving documentary celebrates the life, courage, and enduring legacy of one of Curaçao’s most remarkable heroes.
Margareth Abraham was only 24 years old when she served as a flight attendant on ALM Flight 980, which departed New York’s JFK Airport for St. Maarten on May 2, 1970. When the aircraft had to ditch near St. Croix, she selflessly assisted passengers to safety, sacrificing her own life in the process. Her bravery and compassion continue to inspire generations across Curaçao and beyond.
Directed by Curaçao’s Selwyn de Wind, the documentary tells Margareth’s story through intimate interviews with her family, friends, colleagues, and even her former fiancé, Robby Schouten. Their memories offer a vivid portrait of a young woman whose heroism and humanity left a lasting mark on Curaçao’s history.
At OX & WOLF, we are proud to partner with CAP, who has long been committed to honoring Margareth’s legacy—including the mural at Curaçao International Airport by local artist Bagira and to continuing that commitment with initiatives like the upcoming Margareth Abraham Scholarship.
The documentary is now showing exclusively at The Movies Curaçao in Punda and Otrobanda, and will also feature at the Krioyo Film Festival at Caribbean Cinemas, Sambil, from October 27 to November 5, 2025.
Through this partnership, OX & WOLF celebrates Margareth Abraham’s courage, compassion, and selflessness: reminding us all of the power of bravery and the importance of keeping her legacy alive.
